I’m writing and researching a book! In short, it’s about a family secret that unravelled in my early 20s and led me on an international search for biological relatives.

I grew up knowing very little about my father’s side of the family. My grandparents were Polish emigrés who never spoke much about their relatives or where they were from.

In college, I traveled to Poland to meet my extended family. All ten or so “cousins” sat me down on the last night of my trip and calmly told me that we weren’t actually related.

The story is about my grandparents, their past lives and incredible means of survival, and my own journey to discovering the truth.
